The shortage of emergency veterinarians has been a simmering problem long before the COVID-19 pandemic but has recently hit a boiling point. Join us for this special event that brings together the co-authors of the paper “The shortage of veterinarians in emergency practice: A survey and analysis" published in the Journal of Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care. Moderated by Leah Webster, Senior Journals Publishing Manager for Wiley’s veterinary journals portfolio, Dr. Matt Booth and Dr. Lori Kogan will discuss the findings of their research, focusing on the factors that impact veterinarians' decision to pursue a career in emergency medicine and reasons to remain working in the field.
